Our goal
Our association "Heritage and Culture of the Jews of Lebanon" (PCJL) was established in October 2010 in Paris and its objective is to contribute to the preservation and transmission of the traces of the millenary Jewish presence in Lebanon.
We have created a database that brings together hundreds of documents and is regularly enriched by a continuous work of collecting video and audio data, photos, archives, life stories and texts written by members of the community who lived at one time or another in Lebanon. This database will be deposited in two places that will keep them permanently:
- The Museum of the Diaspora (Beit Hatfutsot)
- The library of the Alliance Israelite Universelle, where it can be consulted.
- It may also be seen in the “Judaica” library at Harvard University in the United States.
These documents are also available on this secure site accessible only to registered members : Sign up now
